Even with initial success, that's a lot of gunboats and troops, lots of arms, drugs and cash going back and forth, getting skimmed as they go. It's a time for total realists. The US and Europe need to do deals in their respective regions to get the energy they need. No more colour revolutions with Nobel-prized stooges etc. Just deal.
