Lavrov knows that only US can provide the discrete targeting data for any of those long range precision weapons to fly at all!

That is, permission is not the act! US direct participation in the applying a particular kill chain is the action.

These people in DC and France and Britain have gone literally nuts. Firing missiles now into Russia that can only be managed by US powers. How is this not an act of war? Is Trump behind this new escalation or is anyone with a lick of sense trying to stop these maniacs?? Asking for a friend.

Trump is not even in office yet. How can he be behind it? You got TDS?

Jamenta, when it comes to supporting the genocide in Gaza Trump is all in, and didn't get my vote, but Russia? Bringing down Russia has been on the Biden agenda since he entered office, and the neocons, like his secretary of state, Blinken, and Nuland, thankfully gone, have supported that position for decades. Not Trump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He ran on the promise he would bring that confrontation to it's end, and based on his prior stint as president he did want to get along with Russia, but the democrats just would let him, and I'm sure Russia-gate, orchestrated by them, was used to make sure he wouldn't.

This is your friendly reminder that Putin CHOSE to Invade Ukraine and blaming anyone other than the murderer in chief is really fucking stupid.

I didn't see Russia firing missiles into Europe or at the US when the US decided to invade: Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, or Vietnam. In fact, the US has launched 259 military invasions since 1991.

You know what's really fucking stupid? Playing the victim, while launching Western missiles into Russia itself.

Poroshenko and Zelenskyy trampled on the Russo-Ukraainians, killing an estimated 12000 in the Donbass. The Nato-ization of Ukraine began with the Maidan coup which among other things saw Russians burnt alive in the Trade-union house. Tell us, what would the US do if Putin paqrked missiles (oh don't be paranoid, they're only there for show) in Mexico and China in Canada. PLEASE STOP REPEATING PROPAGANDA.

Yes, but provocation has to be considered in the equation. Back someone into a corner and blame them for retaliation?

It's really tough for Americans to notice, apparently, that Putin is basically a mafia thug, who came to power by killing lots of his own people, and is now trying to extend his methods of murder to places like Syria, Palestina, Ukraine. Their lack of strategic vision is consequent to their ignorance so we ought be patient while explaining the facts to them.

You mean facts like the 2014 CIA/US backed coup in Ukraine; Zelensky and his Azov battalion Nazi friends bombing the Donbas - mostly made of Russian speaking natives? Or do you mean the Minsk Agreements which Europe (and the US) then proceeded to stab Putin in the back with - as they admitted to afterward?

Or do you mean the Western Alliance promise to Russia not to move NATO an inch more eastward after World War II? Is that what you mean by "mafia thug" Eric? Guys like you ought to look in the mirror, you might find the Mafia Thug staring right back at you.

You're like a two year old, repeating your one line argument ad nauseam. And pretending your one and single argument vindicates starting World War III. Your mindlessness is the problem here, not Putin.

Putin is about as far from a thug as you could find. If you are looking for a thug take a look at Pompeo, or Bolton. You have been taken in by two decades of anti-Putin conditioning Eric. They duped you and millions like you. It is they that should inspire your anger, not the world statesman by the name of vladimir Putin. If you manage to dispose of Putin as you wish you may well find tht somewhere along the line in Russia you will find someone who acts like a thug against, rather than seek peace with you as Putin has done.

Putin walked every single extra mile to avoid any of this tragic outcome. First off he spent over six years of his life trying to make the radicals of Ukraine to see sense and implement the Minsk Accord agreements. He had already told the republics that Russia couldn't accept them into the Russian Federation and that they must remain within Ukraine. But he said he'd do his darndest to get them the level of autonomy they needed to safeguard their lives and language. The western powers wanted to get Ukraine into NATO, everyone with any sense knew this was £the reddest of red lines for Russia". Including george Kennan, the accepted primary architect of the West's containment policy regarding the Soviet Union. He knew Russia would react extremely badly to this unprovoked and unnecessary linkage of Ukraine and NATO. When he knew Minsk was going nowehere Putin offered both NATO and the Biden administration the possibility of discussing a new security architecture for Europe. This was refused outright. Putin was pushed relentlessly toward what appears to have been the West's plan all along, to goad him, to trick him and endlessly push him into invading. Even when Putin at last reluctantly invaded he almost immediately engaged in peace negotiations. These progressed well until Boris Johnson arrived with a message from the West and NATO, telling Zelensky to abandon the road to peace and take the road to war instead. It has not been Putin who sought war. Quite the opposite!

Wow, you have no respect for anyone's opinion but your own. And you expect us to respect you? John's followers here provided you with several reasons answering your single argument - which you repeat over like a mindless bot. And you have ignored every single one of the contextual facts presented to you. It is you who have no respect for anyone here including John Mearsheimer himself.

You, like Zelensky are a madman. Willing to sacrifice a million of your own people (instead of the diplomatic terms of the Minsk II agreement) because your righteous, arrogant belief that the US and Europe are vestal virgins, and can do no wrong.
