On 10 April 2025, I appeared on “Judging Freedom” with Judge Napolitano. We concentrated on discussing: 1) the meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump on 7 April 2025, where they told stories about Gaza and the Palestinians that are filled with lies and distortions of the historical record, and effectively portray the Palestinians as untermenschen; and 2) will the US and Iran reach a deal or will the US bomb Iran? I argued that it is hard to see what a deal that is acceptable to both sides looks like and that given the state of the world economy, bombing Iran is fraught with grave risks.

However, I think first and foremost bombing Iran would be a horrific detectable unspeakable War Crime, just as is being done to Libya, Yemen, already done to Lebanon and Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and right now is being done to Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan with the worst done beforea to Yemen for years. The 7 Countries in 5 years has not worked out all that well. Then there is the Palestinians- the 76 year war against the Palestinian People by Zionist Jews determined to take all the land from the River to the Sea and much more, despite the fact that Palestinians had lived there for at least hundreds of years. They have been murdered, tortured imprisoned, bombed, shot and starved and still they rise - until now - this is to be their final hour, either death or forced expulsion. This was always the Israeli Government's plan - and hopes and Dreams, built on the blood and bones of Palestinians. This is what the Colonialists and then the U.S. did to the Indigenous Peoples.
Over the past several months I’ve sat next to Jewish people on flights who happen to be zionists and I’ve asked them what they think about the situation in Gaza. What’s interesting is that they seem to immediately become more animated and defensive. The one flight was leaving Jackson Hole where the majority of the people on the plane were skiers. The Jewish couple I sat next to had been skiing and they were headed back to New York City. They seemed to have it all. As the conversation went on, and especially toward the end of the conversation, I wanted to tell them that due to their lack of empathy towards those who are bullied and less fortunate they seemed to be ugly from the inside out. I’m glad I bit my tongue.
It’s too bad that Joe Biden didn’t nip the brutalization of the Palestinians in the bud immediately after 10/7/23. It was another missed opportunity to try to be on the right side of history.
It amazes me as to how good we are at making the train run on time but we continue to head down the wrong track.
