Mearsheimer speaks Truth loud & clear. Genocide is the greatest sin against Mankind. Cultural erasure & theft are blatantly wrong. Pure & simple ! ! All the whining in the world doesn’t change that. John is a master seeing thru’ other people’s eyes. Seeing their rationales, their strengths & weaknesses & follows it thru’. John is one smart fellow. genius ? I think so.

I am in no way undermining the horror that is going on in Gaza, or define it as anything other then a genocide, but when I was a kid and listened to those old cowboy and Indian movies cowboys were portrayed as the good guys, even though they stole the land of the indigenous people, the Indians, who were also portrayed as bad, and less then human. I stopped saying with liberty and justice for all when we pledged the flag at school because it wasn't true, and in many other ways it was not true either. Slavery is another example, as well as the type of American's the founding fathers wanted in America, that is those people who came from western and northern Europe, but not from the south or east. We've come a long way in many regards, but in this last century with our many wars and destruction of whole countries. I'm not thrilled. In no way do I want to underestimate what is going on in Gaza by my statements. However, it doesn't surprise me that we allowed Israel to have the degree of control they exert in America, as well as our elected officials backing their destruction of a people.

Great analysis! -

But one thing I disagree with, Mearsheimer says for Trump it is not about America first, it is about Israel first, but I think it is neither - It is about Trump first ...all he wants is his Peace Prize (like Obama got), he doesn't give a damn about Israel or the Palestinians ...

He gives a damn about what Israel has on him regarding children, which is why he backtracked on Epstein.

I don't know, but it is obviously the case they have the filth on him - that is why he serves them, and sells America down the river.

Trump is only keeping the circus running. He only says what the most people want to hear at any given moment.

This is how he keeps in a positive light. Once the lights go out and the cameras are gone he does that what he does best.

Flip the script.

The 'common sense' and 'common decency' Professor Mearsheimer talks about emanated from the values of 'Western Way of Life' i.e. lliberal democracy, freedom of speech, individual rights, freedom of religious practice, etc. It has oroven to be mostly a facade. Another tool to the same end, hegemony. It was espoused and upheld till it delivered. Russia's war on Ukraine and Israel's sustained ethnic cleansing in Palestine only helped to expose the ruse it always was faster and sooner than it probably would have lasted. Israel's occupation of Palestine and ethnic cleansing continues unabated only due to the unabashed support by Western powers. It's a mirror reflection of the same colonial legacy but on steroids. But what is perplexing for everyone is this abrupt 180 degree turn from the West's own created 'rules based' system and values. A narrative created over decades is being dismantled in just a few years. I have no idea. What life has however taught me is that the best indicator of character, individual or collective, is when the chips are down and one is under mounting pressure. That is when base instincts tend to hold sway over reason, logic, and common sense. I believe the West too is presently going through that traumatic period which is why everyone struggles to fathom the growing divurgence between what the world rightfully expects of them (based on their own narratives) and their actions.

Mearsheimer gets most things right, but I don't understand how he still thinks OBL organised 9/11. He doubtless believes OBL was killed in akistan, when the odds are he died naturally (he was on Dialysis) in December 2001. He was then 'replaced' by a fatty-faced double by the US, who needed the Boogeyman to be still alive., but who was a US Puppet. As for Kalid Sheik Mohammed, he has been brutally tortured by the US for years - who whouldn't admit anything after that treatment? And why are all the Western 'Leaders' so corrupt and incompetant? Hasn't he heard about the Globalists/Zionists NWO, and Great Reset? And Schwab boasting of how his 'students' (the 'Young Global Leaders') have infiltrated governments and Cabinets? Amazing how someone of his intelligence can have these basic blind spots, but that seems the case. And no mention of Epstein and who he worked for (Mossad), or the Freemasonic 'Founding Fathers', or LBJ and Northwoods, JFK's assassination, the USS Liberty or Gulf of Tonkin LIE? Since JFK, US 'Presidents' have been increasingly in Israel's pocket, but ever since WWII the CIA has been in their pocket - ostensibly run by a preponderance of Catholics, but in reality run by Israeli interests., They facilitated Israel's Nuke acquisition.

Explain it to whom? I fear that western civilization is going down a rabbit hole from which it will not be able to re-emerge from. The present demand by the masses for factual analysis is low. Will there be a larger audience to demand it in future, Seems to me that the Imperial forces are tightening their grip on dissenting voices, and there is no shortage of goons willing to help them enforce silence and oppress dissent When you get an invite from BBC , CNN or any other major media platform I`ll have some optimism.

'And the devil led him (Jesus) into a high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And he said to him: To thee will I give all this power, and the glory of them; for to me they are delivered, and to whom I will, I give them. If thou therefore wilt adore before me, all shall be thine.' Luke lV : 5-7

So what's that got to do with Israel's actions? Everything. The Zionists took the Devil up on his offer, which is why they are so successful. Back in the 1800's, a top Mason is claimed to have predicted WW I, II and III, all to push the Zionist plans for World Domination. They were also behind the French and Russian Revolutions. These claims are of course disputed, as are 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion' - but we all know how brazenly Zionists today dispute almost everything about the Genocidal slaughter going on in Gaza now. To be frank, honesty is not their strongest suit.

WW III is their last major gambit - after that, they intend to announce their 'true' 'God' as Lucifer, and no one who doesn't accept Lucifer will be allowed to live. The only thing that can save us is when Jesus returns, which he promised to do.

It's depressing to think about those current leaders and coming future leaders.

They are a completely different breed from past leaders such as de Gaulle mentioned here.

Take my own generation, Gen X. They've grown up not only fed the "liberal democracy" doctrine, but also spent a lot of time playing video games.

I remember reading an article that said Ted Cruz was the first of the gamer generation in Congress. And it was a decade ago.
