Watching at intervals while doing other things - after the first 25 minutes I continually find it absolutely impossible to fathom Israel had "their pants down" on October 7th. Experts have written and spoken about the sophistication of the Israel security - it simply doesn't fail, ever. And it certainly wasn't sheer happenstance the concert location was moved 48 hours prior to the invasion. Nor does it make sense troops were relocated to the West Bank from the Gaza boarder. Perhaps Israel simply gambled on this information not becoming public.
Secondly, there is clearly a much greater pursuit at stake here than just a retaliatory strike. The fact that China and Russia are both sending war ships to the Middle East solidifies this. It's about the shipping lanes and the gas reserves (thus far) and perhaps eventual control of the Middle East.
