Very interesting. Two points. 1. If the US simply leaves the Strait of Hormuz and ends the blockade, Iran will have to open the Strait of Hormuz. Not doing that would be economic and geopolitical suïcide. 2. The US has another option that is being discussed: the use of tactical nuclear weapons.
