On 24 September 2026, I was on “The Chris Hedges Report,” where I talked to Chris at length about why the Trump administration has no winning strategy in Iran. It certainly has no military option, which is why it is limiting itself to putting great pressure on Iran’s economy with a blockade coupled with Secretary of the Treasury Bessent’s strategy of cutting the Iranian economy off from the rest of the world. But that strategy won’t work either. And all the while, the US is pushing the international economy closer and closer to the brink.
Gloom & Doom in Iran
Very surprised that virtually no one is playing out what happens when both Trump and Israel (who owns Trump) are not willing to face that no conventional military option can win and he will look like a failure. The probability of a nuclear escalation is very real and no one is discussing it.
Not a problem. We are exactly where Israel wants us.
